Zoom lens

A zoom lens by Sony for APS-C cameras, 16-50mm f/3.5-5.6. The pancake kit zoom of the APS-C bodies.

What it frames like

Its full-frame-equivalent focal length on the sensor it was made for.

How wide 16mm sees at its wide end on each sensor it covers.

f/3.5 wide open, to scale against f/1.4.

On APS-C (Sony E): like 24-75mm on full frame; f/3.5-5.6 gives about the depth of field of f/5.2-8.4 there.
On the larger-sensor bodies of Sony E: it works with the camera in a APS-C crop mode, at fewer megapixels.
