Zoom lens

A zoom lens by Pentax for APS-C cameras, 16-50mm f/2.8. The original DA* 16-50, replaced by the PLM version.

What it frames like

Its full-frame-equivalent focal length on the sensor it was made for.

How wide 16mm sees at its wide end on each sensor it covers.

f/2.8 wide open, to scale against f/1.4.

On APS-C (Pentax K): like 24-75mm on full frame; f/2.8 gives about the depth of field of f/4.2 there.
On the larger-sensor bodies of Pentax K: it works with the camera in a APS-C crop mode, at fewer megapixels.

See what it frames: its view on the Pentax K-3 Mark III Monochrome at any distance, and its depth of field, drawn to scale.
