Zeiss milvus 50mm f 1 4 vs zeiss planar t 50mm f 1 4?

On the specs this site lists, these two lenses are the same. Both are 50mm f/1.4 primes for full frame, both are manual focus, neither is stabilised, and both mount on Canon EF and Nikon F. They also fit the same cameras, and on APS-C they frame and handle depth of field the same way. I don't have a verified difference in optics, build, or price to set them apart, so I won't invent one.

If you're choosing between them, start with your mount and budget, then check current prices and reviews elsewhere. Both pages are here: Zeiss Milvus 50mm f/1.4 and Zeiss Planar T* 50mm f/1.4. For a sense of why a fast prime is worth having, see Primes or zooms.
