What lenses should I buy for the sigma fp?
The fp is full frame, so lenses frame exactly as marked. It has no stabilisation in the body, so a stabilised lens helps at slow shutter speeds. For an everyday kit, I'd start with these:
- Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8 DG DN Art is the do-most zoom.
- Sigma 35mm f/1.4 DG DN Art is the one to leave on the camera if you want a single lens.
- Panasonic Lumix S 50mm f/1.8 is a light, cheap portrait lens.
- Panasonic Lumix S Pro 70-200mm f/2.8 OIS is for reach, and the OIS helps there.
Buy the first two or three before anything else. The fp takes a lot of lenses, so it's worth thinking about what you'll want in two years, as the three questions on the home page explain.
