What is the viltrox af 25mm f 1 7 air good for?
The Viltrox AF 25mm f/1.7 Air is a cheap, light standard prime for APS-C cameras, and that's what I'd buy it for. On an APS-C body it frames roughly like a 38mm lens on full frame, a comfortable everyday view for walking around, travel and general snapshots. At f/1.7 it gives about the depth of field of f/2.5 on that sensor, so you get some background softness without the bulk of a faster lens.
It has autofocus and comes in Sony E, Fujifilm X and Nikon Z mounts. It isn't stabilised, so you'll rely on body stabilisation if your camera has it. Full-frame owners can use it in APS-C crop mode, at fewer megapixels.
For the sensor maths, see the Focal length converter. Before buying any third-party lens, check my Lenses notes on autofocus support. You can see the full spec on the Viltrox AF 25mm f/1.7 Air page.
