What is the tamron sp 24 70mm f 2 8 di vc usd good for?

The Tamron SP 24-70mm f/2.8 Di VC USD is a solid all-round standard zoom. On full frame it covers 24 to 70mm, which suits everyday scenes, street, travel, and people at close range. Its f/2.8 aperture stays constant through the zoom, so exposure doesn't change as you zoom, and it does well in dim rooms and indoor events. It's also stabilised, which helps when you shoot handheld.

This is the first-generation version and a common used buy. It fits Canon EF and Nikon F cameras. On APS-C bodies it frames like roughly 36-105mm (Nikon) or 38-112mm (Canon) on full frame.

For the reasoning behind a standard zoom, see Lenses and Aperture. For landscapes, see Landscape.
