What is the pentax hd da 21mm f 3 2 al limited good for?

The Pentax HD DA 21mm f/3.2 AL Limited is a small, fixed-focal-length prime for APS-C Pentax K bodies. On APS-C it frames roughly like a 32mm lens on full frame, so it's a natural everyday view rather than a wide-angle one. At f/3.2 it gives about the depth of field of f/4.8 on that sensor. It has autofocus but no stabilisation, so it leans on light and a steady hand.

It fits most APS-C Pentax K bodies, including the Pentax K-3 Mark III and the Pentax KP. On the Pentax K-1 it works in APS-C crop mode.

If you're choosing your first lenses, the lenses guide explains where a standard prime fits in a kit.
