What is the leica vario elmarit sl 24 90mm f 2 8 4 asph good for?

The Leica Vario-Elmarit-SL 24-90mm f/2.8-4 ASPH is a stabilised standard zoom for full frame. It covers wide to short telephoto in one lens, so it suits everyday shooting, travel, and general walk-around work. Its image stabilisation helps when you shoot handheld in dim light.

It's a big, heavy lens, so it works best if you're happy carrying weight. The aperture narrows from f/2.8 to f/4 as you zoom in, so you'll get less light and background blur at the long end. If that matters to you, read how aperture works first.

It fits full frame L-Mount bodies such as the Leica SL3 and the Panasonic Lumix S5 II. On APS-C L-Mount bodies, it frames like 36-135mm.
