What are the alternatives to the sony e 18 55mm f 3 5 5 6 oss?

I don't have a proper shortlist of alternatives to the Sony E 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 OSS to give you. The only other Sony E lens I can point to is the Sony E 18-200mm f/3.5-6.3 OSS, an APS-C zoom with a longer reach. I haven't written it up in enough detail to compare fairly, so check its page before deciding.

If you tell me what you shoot, I can help you work out whether you need a wider or longer zoom, or a faster lens. The lenses guide explains why aperture matters most in dim light and for background blur.
