You asked

Sony fe 12 24mm f 2 8 gm vs sony fe 12 24mm f 4 g?

Both are 12-24mm zooms for Sony E full-frame cameras. Both autofocus, neither is stabilised, and both fit the same long list of bodies, from the Sony a7 to the Sony a1, plus the APS-C models.

The difference is the maximum aperture. The f/2.8 GM gathers more light and gives shallower depth of field. On APS-C it behaves like about f/4.2, where the f/4 G acts like about f/6. Choose the GM if you shoot indoors, at night, or want more separation between subject and background.

For most landscape work, I'd pick the f/4. You'll usually stop down to f/8 to f/11 anyway, so the extra stop buys little, and f/4 zooms are lighter and cheaper. See the landscape lens guide for the rest of the kit.
