Sigma 10 18mm f 2 8 dc dn contemporary vs sony e 10 18mm f 4 oss?

The Sigma is the brighter lens. Its f/2.8 gives about the depth of field of f/4.2 on an APS-C Sony body, and it works on Sony E, Fujifilm X, L-Mount and Canon RF. It isn't stabilised, though, so it's the one to pick for low light, shallow depth of field or video with a constant aperture.

The Sony E 10-18mm f/4 OSS is the sensible choice if you're already on Sony E. It's stabilised, and its f/4 gives about the depth of field of f/6 on the same body. For landscapes, where you'll mostly shoot at f/8 to f/11 anyway, I'd happily take the Sony for its lighter build.
