Should I upgrade from the sony rx10 iv?

Probably not, unless your current camera is letting you down. The RX10 V keeps the same 24-600mm-equivalent zoom and 20-megapixel 1-inch sensor as the RX10 IV. What's new is a stacked sensor, a faster processor and newer autofocus. If you shoot fast action or struggle with focus tracking, those are real gains. If you mostly shoot landscapes, travel or safari at a relaxed pace, your RX10 IV still does the job.

If you do want the newer body, see the RX10 V page. Then check buying used. A camera one generation old usually gives you most of the performance for much less money, so it's worth looking there before you pay full price.
