You asked

Should I upgrade from the sony a7 ii?

Only upgrade if the a7 II is holding you back in a specific way. It's a 24.3-megapixel full frame body with in-body stabilisation, so it still takes solid pictures. If you want more resolution and a camera that's good at video as well as stills, the Sony a7 IV is the all-rounder, with 33 megapixels. If you want the same 33 megapixels in a much smaller body, the Sony a7C II is the one I shoot with.

Before you spend on a body, consider a lens. Often the lens does more for your pictures than the body does. If you're missing a standard zoom, the Sony FE 24-105mm f/4 G OSS is a sensible everyday kit. For wide landscapes, look at the Sony FE 16-35mm f/2.8 GM.

If you do upgrade, the buying used guide explains why a body one or two generations old is often the best value.
