Should I upgrade from the ricoh gr iii?

I can't point you to a clear upgrade from the GR III on this site. The only other GR III on the site is the Ricoh GR III HDF. It has the same 24.2-megapixel APS-C sensor and swaps the ND filter for a switchable highlight diffusion filter, so it's a different look rather than a step up. The older Ricoh GR II has no stabilisation, so it's a step down.

If you want a different kind of camera, the pages on the site cover that. For street, the Fujifilm X100 series is the other fixed-lens option I'd consider; see Street. For trips where you want a zoom, see Travel. If budget matters, Buying used explains why a camera a generation back is often the smart buy.
