Should I upgrade from the olympus om d e m1 mark iii?

I'd only upgrade if the Mark III is actually holding back a shot you want. It's a solid body: 20.4-megapixel Micro Four Thirds with in-body stabilisation, and it's the Mark II with stronger stabilisation and a focus joystick. I don't cover newer bodies on this site, so I can't tell you what would be a step up.

If you want to spend less, the Olympus OM-D E-M5 Mark III is a smaller, mid-range OM-D, which is a sideways move rather than an upgrade. The Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mark II is still a capable pro body, and buying used is a good way to get one.

Before buying a new body, I'd look at lenses first. A better lens often changes your pictures more than a new body does. The full E-M1 Mark III lens list shows what fits your camera now.
