Should I switch from the pentax k 70 to mirrorless?

I wouldn't switch just because mirrorless is newer. The Pentax K-70 is a capable, weather-sealed DSLR with a flip-out screen, and its lens range is huge. If it does what you need, keep it and spend the money on lenses.

If you're shopping again, though, mirrorless is the better bet. As your first camera guidance explains, mirrorless shows the exposure before you shoot and its autofocus tracks eyes well. Pentax's own mirrorless option, the K-01, is an older body with no viewfinder, so I'd look at what's current before deciding.

Switching also doesn't have to mean starting over. Old manual-focus lenses adapt easily to mirrorless bodies, as the adapters section on the lenses page explains.
