Should I switch from the pentax k 5 to mirrorless?

Not necessarily. The K-5 is a capable DSLR with in-body stabilisation, and its lens range is huge, so there's no reason to switch just because mirrorless is newer. Mirrorless has real advantages, though. You see the exposure before you shoot, and the autofocus can find and follow eyes. If those things would change how you shoot, my first camera guide explains the case for mirrorless.

If you do move, the Pentax K-01 is the mirrorless camera in Pentax's K-mount line, but it has no viewfinder, which might suit you or might not. Also check the adapters notes: old manual-focus lenses adapt easily to mirrorless, so your collection doesn't have to stay behind.
