You asked

Pentax kp vs pentax k 70?

Both are Pentax K-mount APS-C DSLRs with the same 23.5 x 15.6mm sensor, in-body stabilisation, and weather sealing, and they take the same lenses. The real difference is the body.

The Pentax K-70 was announced in 2016 and has a flip-out screen, which is handy for low or high angles. The Pentax KP came out in 2017 as a small body with swappable grips, so you can change how it sits in your hand.

Choose the K-70 if you shoot a lot from awkward angles. Choose the KP if you want something compact. For an everyday kit, either body pairs well with the Pentax smc DA 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 AL WR, and for people, add the Pentax smc DA 50mm f/1.8, which I'd recommend over almost anything else for portraits. See the portraits guide for why.
