You asked
Om system om 5 mark ii vs om system pen?
Both are small Micro Four Thirds cameras with the same 20.4-megapixel sensor, so image quality will be very similar. The choice comes down to how you shoot.
The OM System OM-5 Mark II is my pick for outdoor work. It's IP53 weather sealed and stabilised, and it was announced in 2025. The OM System PEN is newer, announced in 2026, with a rangefinder-style body, a built-in electronic viewfinder and five-axis stabilisation. It's only IPX1 splash resistant, so keep it out of heavy rain.
If you like a classic, compact street camera, the PEN is the more fun choice. For hikes, bad weather or travel, I'd take the OM-5 Mark II. Both use the whole Micro Four Thirds lens range, so a lens like the Olympus M.Zuiko 25mm f/1.8 works on either.
