Om system om 3 astro vs om system pen?
For most people, I'd pick the OM System PEN. The OM-3 Astro only makes sense if the night sky is the reason you're buying.
Both use the same 20.4-megapixel Micro Four Thirds sensor and were announced in 2026, so the sensor won't separate them. The difference is the camera. The OM System PEN has a rangefinder-style body, a built-in electronic viewfinder, IPX1 splash resistance and five-axis stabilisation. It's a good everyday camera, and the Panasonic Leica DG 25mm f/1.4 II makes a lovely standard lens for it.
The OM System OM-3 Astro has an IR-cut filter that passes H-alpha light. That suits astrophotography, but it isn't meant for everyday colour shots. If you do go for it, a fast wide lens like the Voigtländer Nokton 10.5mm f/0.95 Aspherical will help gather light.
