You asked

Nikon d750 vs pentax k 1?

The Nikon D750 and the Pentax K-1 are both full-frame DSLRs, so they frame lenses the same way. The K-1 is the newer and higher-resolution body, with 36.4 megapixels against the D750's 24.3, and it has stabilisation built into the body. The D750 has none, so you'll want stabilised lenses for slow shutter speeds. It's older, but as I say on the Nikon D750 page, it's a classic used buy.

For portraits, the portraits guide points to an 85mm. On the D750, try the Nikon AF-S 85mm f/1.8G. On the K-1, the Pentax HD D FA* 85mm f/1.4 ED SDM AW is the fast option.

If you shoot sport or birds, freezing motion pushes ISO up, so check how each body handles high ISO before you buy. See wildlife and sport.
