You asked

Leica m9 vs leica m9 p?

The Leica M9 and M9-P share the same 18-megapixel full frame sensor, the same lens list, and no in-body stabilisation. The M9 came first, announced in 2009. The M9-P followed in 2011 with a sapphire-glass screen and no red dot.

Because the M9 is the older body, check whether its CCD sensor has been replaced for corrosion before you buy. If you want the newer finish and the tougher screen, the Leica M9-P is the one I'd pick. Otherwise, the Leica M9 does the same job for less effort.

Either body works well with a Leica Summicron-M 35mm f/2 ASPH for everyday street shooting, and a Leica Summilux-M 50mm f/1.4 ASPH for portraits.
