Is the zeiss milvus 50mm f 1 4 good for street photography?

Honestly, it's not my first pick for street. The guide at Street says a camera people don't notice, one you can shoot without thinking, beats almost everything else. This lens is manual focus only, which slows you down when something happens fast. Its f/1.4 aperture is great for low light and separating your subject from the background, but that's more of a portrait or evening trick than a street one.

If you already own it, it still works on full frame, where 50mm is a classic street focal length. On APS-C it frames like about 75 to 80mm, which is tight for street. For the bigger picture, see Sensor sizes, or start from the Zeiss Milvus 50mm f/1.4 page.
