Is the voigtl nder apo lanthar 35mm f 2 aspherical sharp wide open?
The site doesn't cover how sharp this lens is at f/2, so I won't guess. The Voigtländer APO-Lanthar 35mm f/2 Aspherical page lists its mounts, how it frames on full frame and APS-C, and which cameras it fits.
f/2 is a fairly wide opening. It lets in more light and gives more background blur, as the lenses guide on aperture explains. For portraits, the portraits guide warns that the depth of field can be thinner than a face at f/1.4 and wider. At f/2, check that the eyes are sharp on your frames, and stop down a little if you need more depth.
