Is the viltrox af 14mm f 4 air good for video?

For video, the Viltrox AF 14mm f/4 Air is mainly interesting because it's wide. On full frame it frames at 14mm, a little wider than the 16-20mm view I like for vlogging at arm's length. That makes it better for room shots, landscapes and tight spaces than for talking-head framing. It has autofocus but no stabilisation, so handheld walking shots will need a gimbal or a stabilised body.

It fits video-focused bodies like the Sony ZV-E1 and the Sony FX3. On APS-C, such as the Sony a6400, it frames like 21mm, which is close to the range I like for vlogging.

Whatever lens you pick, plan your sound first. See the video guide's audio section.
