Is the tokina atx m 56mm f 1 4 sharp wide open?

I don't have sharpness test results for the Tokina atx-m 56mm f/1.4, so I can't tell you how crisp it is wide open. What I can tell you is what it is: a prime for APS-C cameras, with autofocus, no stabilisation, and mounts for Sony E and Fujifilm X. On APS-C it frames like about 84mm on full frame, and f/1.4 gives roughly the depth of field of f/2.1 there.

For how f/1.4 behaves in practice, the Lenses guide explains what wide apertures mean for light and background blur. If you're shooting people, the Portraits guide is useful too: at f/1.4 the depth of field can be thinner than a face, so stopping down to f/2.8 helps when two people sit at different distances.
