Is the tamron 17 28mm f 2 8 di iii rxd worth it?

It's worth it if you already shoot full frame on Sony E and want one fast, wide zoom. It's f/2.8 across the range, and 17 to 28mm covers everything from wide landscapes to street scenes. It fits a long list of Sony full-frame bodies, from the Sony a7 III onward, and it also works on APS-C, where it frames like 26-42mm.

It isn't stabilised, so you'll rely on shutter speed and your IBIS body, if you have one. Full frame only pays off for low light, events, and shallow depth of field, so if that's not your work, a smaller sensor may suit you better. For APS-C shooters, the Tamron 17-70mm f/2.8 is the more sensible f/2.8 zoom. I don't quote prices here, so check current pricing before you buy.
