Is the sony rx100 vii good in low light?
The RX100 VII is a good pocket camera, but it's a compromise in low light. Its 1-inch sensor has a crop factor of 2.7, which makes it much smaller than the APS-C and Micro Four Thirds sensors. Bigger sensors collect more light, so you'll get noisier high-ISO images than from a larger camera. The lens also limits you: it opens to f/2.8 at the wide end and only f/4.5 at the long end.
It's fine for dim restaurants and well-lit evenings, but for dark rooms, concerts, or shallow depth of field, look at a larger sensor. The Sensor sizes guide explains the trade-off. You can see the full specs on the Sony RX100 VII page.
