Is the sony rx100 ii good in low light?
The RX100 II is decent in low light for a compact, but it's not a low-light specialist. Its 1-inch sensor is smaller than APS-C and much smaller than full frame, and a bigger sensor gathers more light at the same framing and f-number, so it will look noisier at high ISO than larger cameras. The lens helps at the wide end, where it opens to f/1.8, but at the telephoto end it drops to f/4.9, which hurts in dim rooms.
If low light is your main subject, look at the Canon EOS R6 Mark II, which I'd call a superb all-rounder for low light, or the Sony a7S III, which is built for it. Both have full-frame sensors. For the reasoning, see what a bigger sensor buys you.
