Is the sony nex 7 good for video?

The site doesn't say how the Sony NEX-7 performs for video. Its page covers the sensor, the 2011 announcement and the lens options, but not video resolution, a flip-out screen or a microphone input. So I can't call it a good video camera or a bad one from what I have.

What I can say is that the NEX-7 has no in-body stabilisation, so for handheld video you'll want a stabilised lens. The Sony E 10-18mm f/4 OSS is a good wide option, around 15-27mm full-frame equivalent, which is close to the wide look I like for talking to camera. The Sony E PZ 16-50mm f/3.5-5.6 OSS is a more versatile stabilised kit zoom.

Before you buy, check the camera's own specs for a flip screen and a mic input, since those matter more than the sensor. See the video guide and the audio notes. The full lens list is on the Sony NEX-7 page.
