You asked
Is the sony fx5 good for wildlife?
Not really, at least not as a first choice. The FX5 is a full-frame Cinema Line video camera with 16.6 megapixels and in-body stabilisation. Wildlife is about reach, and the body doesn't change that. You need a long lens, and wildlife and sport is the hardest thing to shoot because the subject is far off and moves fast.
If you want to use the FX5 for wildlife anyway, I'd pair it with one of these:
- Sony FE 200-600mm f/5.6-6.3 G OSS, the most sensible all-round reach here.
- Sigma 150-600mm f/5-6.3 DG DN OS Sports, if you want more reach for less money.
- Tamron 150-500mm f/5-6.7 Di III VC VXD, a lighter option.
Long lenses are also the easiest to try cheaply. See buying used before you commit.
