Is the sony fe 35mm f 1 4 gm sharp wide open?
I haven't tested this lens for sharpness wide open, and the site doesn't have a review that covers it, so I won't guess. What I can tell you is that it's a 35mm f/1.4 prime with autofocus, made for full frame, and it fits every full frame and APS-C Sony E camera listed on its catalogue page. On APS-C it frames like a 52mm lens on full frame.
For what wide open does to your pictures, the Lenses guide explains how f-numbers affect light and blur. If you're shooting portraits, the Portraits guide covers how thin focus gets at f/1.4 and when to stop down to f/2.8. Hands-on sharpness reviews from other sites will answer the rest better than I can.
