Is the sony fe 16 35mm f 2 8 gm worth it?
It depends on what you shoot. If you have a full frame Sony E body and want a wide zoom, this is a solid choice. It covers 16-35mm, it's autofocus, and it fits a long list of full frame bodies, from the a7 to the a1.
For landscapes, though, I'd question paying for f/2.8. You'll usually shoot between f/8 and f/11 anyway, so an f/4 zoom is lighter and cheaper and does the same job. The landscape guide covers that reasoning. The lens isn't stabilised, so it's better suited to daylight or a tripod than handheld in dim rooms.
If you're on APS-C, it still works, but it frames like 24-52mm, so you'd want a wider zoom for big skies. For the full frame question, see sensor sizes.
