Is the sony fe 135mm f 1 8 gm worth it?

If you shoot portraits on a Sony full frame body, I think it's worth it. It's a 135mm f/1.8 prime for Sony E, made for full frame sensors with autofocus. It isn't stabilised, so for handheld work you'll need to watch your shutter speed.

As I say on portraits, 135mm is the choice for tight headshots and strong background blur outdoors, with room between you and your subject. On APS-C it gives roughly 202mm equivalent reach, which is useful for distant subjects but a lot of lens for close work.

If you mostly shoot travel, street, or general hobby photography, skip it. The sensor guide explains that a good APS-C camera with good lenses is enough for most of that. You can check the full specs and every camera it fits before you decide.
