Is the sony e 30mm f 3 5 macro worth it?
I think it's worth it if you shoot close-up on an APS-C Sony. On those bodies it frames like a 45mm, and its f/3.5 gives about the depth of field of f/5.2, which is handy for macro. It isn't stabilised, so you'll want decent light or a tripod for the closest work.
For an everyday kit, I'd pair it with an a6400 or an a6700. If you already own a full-frame body, the a7 III will also take it, but only in APS-C crop mode, so you give up resolution. The sensor guide explains why shallow depth of field can work against you in macro.
