Is the sony a7cr worth buying used?

Yes, the a7CR can be a good used buy, as long as the price is right for its age. It's a full frame camera with 61 megapixels in a small body, announced in 2023. My rule for used gear is that a body one or two generations old gives you most of the camera for much less money. For a camera this recent, that's the question to ask: is the asking price clearly below new, and is it still a current model? If so, it's worth a look.

Check the shutter count and ask for a body in good condition. Budget for a new genuine battery too, because old batteries lose capacity. You can read more in buying used, including the batteries section, and see the full Sony a7CR page for the lenses that fit it.
