Is the sony a7 worth buying used?

I'd only buy the original Sony a7 used if the price were really low. It came out in 2013 as Sony's first full-frame mirrorless, and it has no stabilisation in the body and slow autofocus by today's standards. For used full frame, I'd look at these first:

• Sony a7 II: a cheap used way into stabilised full frame
• Sony a7 III: the full-frame bargain of the used market, and still very capable

Whichever you choose, budget for a new genuine battery, because old ones lose capacity. The buying used page covers the rest.
