Is the sirui aurora 85mm f 1 4 good for video?

The Sirui Aurora 85mm f/1.4 can shoot video, but it's not a natural choice for most video work. On full frame it's a tight telephoto, so you'll need room to step back, and it isn't stabilised, so handheld walking shots will wobble. It suits locked-off interviews, tripod work and shallow-focus shots where you control the framing. Autofocus is a plus.

If you're vlogging, the video guide recommends a wider lens, around 16-20mm full-frame equivalent. Sound matters as much as the lens, so read the audio section before you buy.

For a body to pair with this lens, the Sony FX3, Sony a7S III and Sony ZV-E1 are all on its list of compatible cameras. Full details are on the lens page.
