Is the sigma 28 105mm f 2 8 dg dn art good for landscape?

It's a good standard zoom for landscapes, but it isn't the lens I'd buy for them. Its 28mm wide end is fine for most scenes, but you'll want something wider for big skies and strong foregrounds, and a landscape guide gives the usual choices.

The f/2.8 aperture is more than landscapes need. You'll mostly shoot between f/8 and f/11, so an f/4 zoom is lighter and cheaper for the same results. If you already own this lens, use it happily, especially on a full-frame body like the Sony a7R V, which it fits. If you're buying for landscapes first, start with a wide zoom.
