Is the sigma 20mm f 1 4 dg hsm art good on aps c?

On APS-C, I think the Sigma 20mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art makes a good everyday lens. On Sony E, Nikon F and L-Mount bodies it frames like about 30mm on full frame, and f/1.4 gives roughly the depth of field of f/2.1. On Canon APS-C it works out to about 32mm. That's a natural standard view, close to the fast 33-35mm primes I'd suggest in your first lenses.

It's autofocus but not stabilised, so keep your shutter speed up in dim rooms. It suits street, food, interiors and environmental portraits that show where someone is. Sony bodies like the a6400 and a6600 and Nikon's D7500 all take it.
