Is the ricoh gr iv hdf good in low light?
I don't have high-ISO test results for the GR IV HDF, so I can't give you a measured low-light rating. What the spec sheet does say is an APS-C sensor, 25.7 megapixels, and a fast 18mm f/2.8 lens. That aperture helps in dim rooms and evening streets, and the camera has stabilisation for slower handheld shutter speeds.
My sensor guide says full frame is the better choice for low light, events and shallow-depth portraits. The GR IV is a small APS-C compact, so expect it to trail a full-frame body in very dark places. For street and travel, where you'd rather carry something small, it's a strong trade-off.
