Is the pentax smc da 35mm f 2 4 al worth it?
The Pentax smc DA 35mm f/2.4 AL is worth it if you want a small, autofocus prime for daylight walking, street, or travel. On an APS-C Pentax K body it frames roughly like a 52mm lens on full frame. It fits a long list of bodies, including the Pentax KP and Pentax K-3 Mark III. It also works on the Pentax K-1 Mark II in APS-C crop mode.
Be realistic about f/2.4, though. It's slower than the fast standard primes in the lenses guide, so it won't isolate subjects or handle dim rooms as well. For that, look at the portraits page. It isn't stabilised either.
