Is the pentax kp good for video?

The KP page doesn't list video features, so I can't tell you it's good or bad for video from that page alone. Its in-body stabilisation helps with handheld shooting, and its small, weather-sealed body is easy to carry around.

Check the video guide's checklist before you buy: a screen that flips to the front, a microphone input, and light weight. The KP's listed specs don't mention a flip screen or a mic input, so confirm those separately. For video, a wide lens matters more than anything else. On the KP, Pentax HD DA 15mm f/4 ED AL Limited gives a wide, light view, and the Tamron SP AF 10-24mm covers a range of wide angles.

For the rest of the setup, see Video and the audio notes. The Pentax KP page has the full lens list.
