You asked
Is the pentax k x good for wildlife?
The K-x is a fair body for wildlife, but the lens will do most of the work. Its APS-C sensor's 1.5 crop factor gives you extra reach, and the stabilisation sits in the body, so it helps with long lenses handheld. It's an older 2009 camera with 12.4 megapixels, so you'll be cropping less than on newer bodies.
For distant animals, I'd look at these from the catalogue:
- Pentax HD D FA 150-450mm f/4.5-5.6 ED DC AW: the longest reach here, about 225-675mm equivalent.
- [Pentax smc DA* 300mm f/4 ED [IF] SDM](/gear/lenses/pentax-smc-da-300mm-f-4-ed-if-sdm/): a fast prime, about 450mm equivalent.
- Pentax HD DA 55-300mm f/4.5-6.3 ED PLM WR RE: a cheaper, flexible option, about 82-450mm equivalent.
Read wildlife and sport for the shooting side, and buying used if you want to try a long lens without much risk.
