Is the pentax k s2 good for video?
The K-S2 page doesn't list its video specs, so I can't tell you its frame rates, resolution, or whether it has a microphone input. Check those on the manufacturer's spec sheet before you buy.
What it does have is a flip-out screen, which helps with framing yourself. It's also small and weather-sealed. On the video guide, the lens matters as much as the body. A wide lens around 16-20mm full-frame equivalent suits arm's-length shooting, so these are the picks I'd try first:
- Laowa 12mm f/2.8 Zero-D: about 18mm equivalent, very wide.
- [Pentax smc DA 14mm f/2.8 ED [IF]](/gear/lenses/pentax-smc-da-14mm-f-2-8-ed-if/): about 21mm equivalent.
- Pentax HD DA 15mm f/4 ED AL Limited: about 22mm equivalent, compact.
Whatever lens you choose, plan for sound too. See the audio notes.
