You asked
Is the panasonic lumix s9 worth it?
I think the S9 is worth it if you want full frame in a body you'll actually carry. It's a tiny full-frame camera with in-body stabilisation, made for travel and social video. The catch is that it has no viewfinder, so you'll be framing on the screen.
For a sensible kit, the Panasonic Lumix S 20mm f/2.5 is a small, light wide prime made to match the S9. If you want one lens for most days, the Panasonic Lumix S 24-105mm f/4 Macro OIS covers a lot of ground.
If low light, events, or very shallow depth of field are your main subjects, the sensor guide explains when full frame is worth the extra. For most hobby shooting, a good APS-C camera does the job just as well.
