Is the panasonic leica dg 12mm f 1 4 good for astrophotography?

The site doesn't cover astrophotography, so I can't tell you how this lens performs on the night sky. Here's what I can say. The Panasonic Leica DG 12mm f/1.4 is a wide prime for Micro Four Thirds. On that sensor it frames like a 24mm lens on full frame, and f/1.4 is a wide opening that gathers plenty of light.

It isn't stabilised, so for star shots you'll want a tripod or a solid support. Its wide view and fast aperture make it a reasonable thing to try for big night scenes, but test it yourself before relying on it.

To see how sensor size changes framing, read Sensor sizes. For wide lenses in general, the landscape page is the closest guide I have.
