Is the om system om 3 worth it?

The OM-3 is a good pick if you want a small, light system with a lot of lenses to choose from. It has a 20.4-megapixel Micro Four Thirds sensor and stabilisation built into the body, and the catalogue page lists more lenses than most people will ever need.

Micro Four Thirds is a smaller sensor, so it gives up some low-light and shallow-depth-of-field performance. For travel, street, and most hobby shooting, I think that trade is worth it, because you'll actually carry the camera. For an everyday kit, I'd start with the Panasonic Leica DG 12-35mm f/2.8 and the Olympus M.Zuiko 40-150mm f/2.8 PRO for reach. If you want the astro version, that's a different tool: the OM-3 Astro isn't meant for everyday colour photos. For the sensor trade-off, see sensor sizes.
