Is the olympus pen e p7 good for beginners?
The E-P7 isn't one of the beginner PENs on this site. Its page describes a small, rangefinder-style body with no viewfinder and a colour/monochrome switch, which suits someone who wants a compact camera they'll carry everywhere. If you want something built with beginners in mind, look at the Olympus PEN E-PL9 or the E-PL10, which has a flip-down selfie screen.
If you do go with the E-P7, the lens matters more than the body. A simple everyday zoom like the Olympus M.Zuiko 14-42mm f/3.5-5.6 EZ is a sensible start, and the Olympus M.Zuiko 25mm f/1.8 is a good second lens for low light and portraits.
Every current camera from a major brand is good, so handle a few in a shop before you decide. See Your first camera.
