Is the nikon zf good for beginners?
The Nikon Zf is a good choice if you like how it looks. It's a full-frame mirrorless camera with a 24.5-megapixel sensor, in-body stabilisation and film-camera dials, so the controls are easy to see and set. It's also a lot of camera for a first purchase, and I'd still hold it in a shop before you commit, since size and handling matter more than specs at this stage.
If you do go for it, these lenses cover most beginner needs:
- Nikon Z 24-70mm f/4 S for everyday walking-around shots
- Nikon Z 24-200mm f/4-6.3 VR if you want one lens for travel
- Nikon Z 50mm f/1.8 S as a cheap, sharp portrait lens
To save money, look at buying used.
